History

4Seasons has been a tradition in Regina since 1977.  Peter Yannitsos and 4 partners opened Four Seasons Palace Caterers and Restaurant.  In 1979 they expanded the Restaurant and in 1998, Peter’s son George was brought into the business as the only original partner, George Diamond, retired. In 2000 the banquet rooms were remodelled into Regina’s Premier Sports Bar, the SportsPalace.  In 2003, 4Seasons added a brew pub and one of Regina’s best Cold, Beer, Spirits & Wine Store.  Today 4Seasons has a 70 seat restaurant, 35 seat lounge, a 200 seat sports bar, a 65 seat private room and a cold beer, spirits & wine store.

Peter Yannitsos, “papou (grandfather in Greek)” worked tirelessly in the restaurant industry since he immigrated to Canada in 1959 with his wife Dina.  He was the food and beverage manager at the Regina Inn until becoming owner/operating manager of 4Seasons in 1977.  He worked everyday until his passing on February 15, 2015.  His spirit lives on and his love of sports, especially the Riders, Leafs, Greece National Soccer Team and even though he didnt quite understand baseball, the Blue Jays.  Heck he would even get mad at the Saskatchewan’s curling teams in the Brier and Scotty. Forever missed!

Peter was the respected chanter of St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church for 50 years. Peter and his wife Dina, were integral members of the Regina’s Greek community and especially St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church. Peter was the chanter for over 50 years and he would never miss a Sunday Divine Liturgy service even when he closed the restaurant late on Saturday nights.
